We are a small school in eastern Oregon that sits at the base of the Blue Mountains. The majority of our school is of the low, socio-economic status. This makes it hard for us to reach out for help from parents and other people in our community. It is difficult for many of the students to buy what is on their beginning of the year supply list, let alone the extra art supplies that we are asking for. For most of these children the only art mediums they have used in the past have consisted of crayons or colored pencils. We would like to expose them to things like water colors, pastels, charcoal, etc.
