Imagine sitting at a desk as a 14 year old all day. You are constantly staring at a computer screen after spending a year and a half doing the same thing at home from your dining room table or makeshift desk. You are also sharing this space with siblings who are all doing remote learning at the same time. As adults, sitting at a desk in a hard chair is difficult so why not make it comfortable for students? Flexible seating will allow students to move to different spaces in the classroom and still work diligently on their assignments. I want to make our classroom feel homey and comfortable. I want students to be able to sit together and collaborate with one another in a space other than a desk. It is important that students enjoy the space they work in as they are here for 180 days. I hope that you will help make our class space a fun place that they want to come to everyday!
