My students are filled with enthusiasm and excitement for learning, life, friends, and a variety of interests. As a teacher of five year old students, we jump into projects with both feet and make big plans. Their enthusiasm for school and life is exhausting but infectious, and teaching them is an exciting and joyful experience. Like most young children their favorite time of day is relaxing on the carpet with a reading buddy or listening to their teacher read another great story. A listening center would create more opportunities for them to experience books read aloud to them.
