My second graders are literacy lovers. They crave a good story and love being read to. Read aloud time is definitely our favorite time of the day! The students look forward to that independent reading and writing time when they have a chance to either get lost in a book or create an amazing tale themselves. They are enthusiastic and look at our literacy block as a "fun time".
