I teach an energetic group of 30 first graders. They are individuals with a wide range of needs. Our school has at least 60% free and reduced lunch count and serves the community with free breakfast and lunch for children in the summer. Our district has done it's best to keep vital programs going in the midst of yearly deep cuts. Our school has a strong family atmosphere. The library is only open because we have parent volunteers who help to manage it. In our constant effort to do the best we can for our students, we became a Leader in Me School. This year we were granted Leader in Me Lighthouse status!

About my class
