This book is easy to read and my students will be able to relate to the stories of people that started with nothing and became financially secure. The books will be kept in class and used for future students as well. We will read as a class, discuss the stories and break down the money earned and saved over time. I will be able to utilize the book to encourage reading (most of the students are English Learners and this book is approachable). I will facilitate classroom discussions based on analyzing the challenges each person faced and what traits allowed them to persevere. We will also apply mathematical concepts to determine how much money each person earned on average over their lifetime, how much was saved as a percent, and how long it took to become a millionaire. We will also be able to pull in statistics to understand the average ages, incomes and wealth of the people interviewed for this book.
