We are a small, rural school in Oregon. We have a close community and small class sizes where we are able to individualize education. Many of our students come from high poverty homes and may not get the experience of even having books read to them at home. Kindergarteners typically begin school with very little exposure to the alphabet or numbers. For them, school is a safe, happy place with caring adults that want to teach them. The kids form a bond in this small school and work together to make this a very special place to be.
