I am currently using a 2012 MacBook Pro to create all of my lesson plans, manage my curricular tools, run the software needed to teach all of my STEM and technology classes every day with my students, Zoom classes with my virtual students, and complete all of my professional development courses to maintain my teaching credentials. Although this little machine has been such a workhorse for nearly a decade, it is so old, that many of my software programs crash mid-lesson, and I can no longer run Zoom updates, which is quite a barrier, given that half of my students attend class virtually in a hybrid education classroom. Having a new device that consistently works would have a tremendous positive impact on my day-to-day workflow and it would greatly improve our classroom experience.
