Our students need wobble chairs to be able to have a flexible seating option. This will help those that have more energy to better focus on their work. With routines and structure in the classroom, we want to give our students a choice about where they work in order to do their best. We strive to make our room a place where everyone can be successful. Allowing the students to make their own choice of where they will do their best work can change their attitude toward learning. The wobble stools develop balance and focus while the child is working. Appropriate movement options decrease inappropriate physical disruptions, maximizing learning time. The balance required by the stools builds core strength. They improve posture and muscle tone. The rocking motion allowed by the stools stimulates the nervous system, particularly in the areas of calming and organization, supporting the students' focus and ability to process new information. The sensory input and energy burning support focus on learning. The movement increases blood flow, allowing more oxygen to the brain. The use of these stools will encourage an active lifestyle, support learning, and improve our students' overall well being. Our students are asked to do may challenging academic tasks at such a young age and cannot always control their need to move and wiggle. Having wobble chairs as a flexible seating will allow our children movement all day, all wile helping them learn!
