With the purchase of these novels, my students will be able to make up much of their learning loss from last year. The graphic novel will review all the academic standards while enriching their experience with the printed word. The best way to increase reading skills is to read more, and these books will help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an interest in reading, and this novel will be a wonderful addition to our curriculum. When the students are done reading, they will then make their own graphic novels. The graphic novels created by the students will then be read and recorded on ScreenCastify. These videos will be sent to the elementary school for Read Across America Week.
