I work at a public charter school. My school's goal it that all students go to college. Most of the students will be the first person in their family to go to college. The vast majority of students are on free and reduced lunches and lack leadership at home. However, they come to school and want to learn. They are very respectful and work very hard. English is the second language for the majority of the school's population and many of the students are the only ones in their families that speak English.
