I teach at a Title 1 school with a very diverse population, our students need to feel honored and enjoy praise. My students are hard working and dedicated. They always give more than is asked of them, and they do it with a smile. Our school's boundaries border one of the toughest most crime ridden neighborhoods in the city. Needless to say, some of our students have experienced more at this young age than many of us have in our lifetime. Through it all they continue to do their best and try to be as positive as they can while at school. Our students deserve the same privileges as those in more affluent neighborhoods, but unfortunately that is not always the case. With you help, together we can see that our children meet and exceed all of the wonderful expectations that we set for them; without feeling discouraged by not having the same opportunities as others.
