Reading is a great adventure! My goal is for all my students to become lifelong readers; this begins in the classroom library. I have the wonderful privilege of having a good amount of quality and gently (if not brand new) used books in my classroom Library; however, I am limited when it comes to proper storage for each child. I hope to get individual book bags from Lakeshore Learning that my students will use to store their 'just right' books in. Having books that they are interested in, and able to read right at their fingertips, is a wonderful thing. These book bags will hang on a hook at their table spots...ready for use at the appropriate times. Children are empowered when they find ownership in their reading! Having individual book bags with their books in them will encourage this. I also hope to get additional books bins to add to my classroom library to help store books. It is so important to keep a classroom library clean, organized, and inviting. Thank you for taking the time to read about my hopes to promote opportunities to get books into the hands of my students in an organized and efficient way.
