Distant Learning has become more important than ever as mandates to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. I need technology in place at home to keep the learning going. By teaching online I can make my classroom accessible to all students during this time, through Zoom, ClassDojo, Google Classroom, and Schoology. I can develop a platform for teaching educational content in specific subject areas. This is uncharted waters for all educators to monetize our knowledge and expertise through technology. We are not being funded or supplied with the proper technology to get the job done unless we come out of pocket. With your contributions to giving new MacBook Pro to my classroom, I can teach lessons by sharing my screen, use the whiteboard feature, create breakout rooms for collaboration, and properly assess my students learning. I can also use Classroomscreen.com which allows my students to share my whiteboards screen to show and demonstrate their comprehension and understanding of lessons. This will get our students to a deeper state of learning with greater depth of knowledge. I need these tools to draw students into lessons/activities and make them engaged and look forward to our next virtual class meeting. When there is poor Technology being used during distant learning it can lead to lack of student engagement and involvement in the learning process. Synchronous conversations and discussions are interrupted which causes disruption during teaching. The purchase of a new printer will help me print out my lessons, schedules, IEP'S, and planned activities. It can be used to print out interactive visual aids which will help me communicate and teach complex concepts to students especially those who are visual learners. I can print our charts, graphs, and data to show student achievement and rates of progress or lack thereof. I truly need your support! Thank you!!
