My students want to do well, and each learns in his/her own way. Each one may be one, two, or even three years below grade level. At times they get frustrated easily or have a hard time sitting still, and focusing. I pull small groups to my classroom where we work together on not only building their confidence levels, but also improving their reading skills, fluency, and comprehension, as well as improving writing skills. We are a Title 1 school, in an inner city school district. There are over 600 students, most of whom receive free or reduced meals.
