My students are children, but most of them live a life I could not imagine living at age 10. My students are active, engaging, caring, loving, and are motivated to learn. We give our students every opportunity to grow as learners, become well rounded individuals, and to instill confidence that they can be anything they want to be as long as they give 100% at everything they do. Most of my students come from homes with one parent and are in poverty. Some of our parents work two jobs to make ends meet so the student is provided for. The students want to succeed, but I get the feeling they feel stuck where they are, because of their situation. I want to empower my students to feel like they can conquer the world.
