We are a rural school in SD, with around 330 students K-12. Social skills seems to be a deficit in many students, including those with ADD, autism, and other personal/social issues. With 32% of our families using free and reduced lunches, the school is often the most stable environment that they have. In our small school, we currently have 7 students on the autism spectrum and an additional estimated 20 students with ADD. In addition to these students, I also do regular social skills groups with grades 1 and 3, hoping to incorporate more grades in the future.
