I currently have 117 students in my 8th grade math classes. So far, they have allowed me to set the classroom expectations and encourage them to do better than they expect. My students expectations for themselves is too low. They feel great when they get a C. I know I can raise expectations and ignite an excitement for math that these students haven't ever experienced before.
