I teach in a 6th-12th grade urban middle school and high school. Most of my students are bilingual, and many are second language learners. About 96% of my students live below the poverty line. The expectation at our school is that the students will attend college when they finish high school. Almost 100% of the students will be the first person in their family to attend college.
