I am a third grade bilingual teacher. My students are Spanish speaking learners who come from different Latino countries. They are wonderful children who just want to learn and succeed in school. We are reading a chapter book, "Third Grade Angels" by Jerri Spinelli. One of my students said, "Mrs. Cortes I love reading this book because I am in third grade too". It was so funny because that started a whole conversation about their grade level. They started talking and analyzing about the characters in the novel .
