Organization is key! Years of teaching have taught me that an organized classroom is essential for student success. Teacher and student materials that are neatly organized allow for easy access which helps students work better. Incorporating colorful storage bins is one way to achieve our goal. Labeled big bins would help organize our classroom library into a variety of genres and reading levels. Students will enjoy how easy it is to borrow and return books. With individual storage bins, students will also be able to keep their learning tools in a safe and easily accessible place. During these unprecedented times, organization is extremely important to keep students safe. Students need to have their own materials and tools stored separately to prevent cross contamination. They will feel at ease and confident knowing that they have their own reading and math tools that they can use and take to their seat for daily activities. Most importantly, it is an excellent opportunity to promote student independence and ownership of their learning!
