Currently this year I have had 34 students. Our school is a small rural K-8 school. There are some who are way above grade level and others who are below. We do a lot of partner and group work. My kids love to read and write. I often hear disappointment when it is time to quit either one. They love projects and reading about real life things. TIME For Kids magazine is one of their favorite things to read and explore. TFK is loaded with current event and my kids love hearing what is going on in the world. My kids have done well in math, but the standards are high for some so we keep working. They love to succeed and I work hard to give them many opportunities and show them success in many ways. We participate in a school wide Math Facts program and my kids are so excited when they pass and move up a level. Others realize they have to work a little harder, but my kids do not give up. They love having me read to them and they get to draw, but I see many just drawn into the story.
