My students live in the world's technology capital, Silicon Valley. We are surrounded by some of the most innovative companies and people in the entire world. My school, however, is not yet 1-1 in technology resources. This is unfortunate because my students thrive when they are able to use technology in their many projects throughout the school year. Tools like Google Docs and Slides allow them to collaborate on projects--a pivotal 21st century skill. We share information through Google Classroom, Padlet, my class website, School Loop, and several other online tools. Currently we have a daily check-out system at my school, but because resources are limited, my students' needs aren't always met. Our school is a little over 40% Hispanic, and about 34% of our students are on free and reduced lunch.
