My students are the hardest working out there! We are in a low income neighborhood (90% plus receive free and reduced lunch) but our students repeatedly show incredible growth every year! My students are funny, driven, and want to learn. They wake up every morning to work all day from 7:45-4pm. As a 2nd grade teacher, we do reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and character development together. They are avid readers and can't get enough of fiction and currently, nonfiction texts! We are named after Syracuse University and proudly are the oranges! Every morning we say our cheer remembering to show respect to each other and work our hardest!
