I teach three different levels of English Language Arts students in a school where over 60% of our students receive free or reduced lunches. Although my students face many challenges in their home lives, I strive to make their days at school as beneficial as possible. Many students arrive each day without the basic necessities for school, i.e. a pencil, notebooks, etc. I also teach many ESL (English as a Second Language) students, which requires me to use many methods of teaching to address the various learning styles present in my classroom.

About my class
