I currently have a class of 11 students: 7 sixth graders, 1 fifth grader and 3 fourth graders. These students are at minimum 2 grade levels below their peers, however most are reading and writing at a kindergarten first grade level. All of them love using computers and many are working on learning typing. Typing is a great option for students with fine motor delays. Our school is 90% free/reduced lunch and 90% Second Language Learners. Priority on technology and curriculum tends to go towards general education classrooms so I am generally left to collect/make my own materials. We have adopted an online language arts program and assessment, however we were not given any new technology to help our students access it.
