The books on this list will give students strategies for helping others and loving themselves. The books will be read as a class to activate thinking. The students will also be reading them on their own. My students will love these books about kindness, positive mindset, and appreciating differences. The books are by authors that have been under-represented in children’s literature. Picture books are also a great way to create a love for reading that leads to lifelong learning.
