My students are from rural South Carolina and attend the first grade at our primary school. Our school currently has nine 1st grade classrooms. Our students are wonderful. They are very energetic and eager to learn! We have many obstacles due to the fact that 17 out of 21 students are performing below grade level in Reading and Math. The large majority of my students receive free/ reduced lunch.
