The robotics team at my high school is comprised of students from all over a large metropolis in Illinois. These are motivated & talented students who have a passion for science and technology. They all have different majors in mind but they are all college bound and ambitious. Several of these students will be the first person in their family to receive a high school diploma and even attempt a college degree. These students overcome many obstacles just to attend school every day. It is common for members to commute for over an hour on public transportation and they commit many hours to this team. Our team is all inclusive and any student in good academic standing can join. Currently the team is 45% female and 55% male.
