Our school is a multicultural school with many languages and cultures. We are also have various income levels, with many homeless students here as well as upper incomes. The recession hit our area particularly hard with families relying on the school for meals. Our district had no classroom funding for several years, with teachers supplementing our classrooms with our own money. Parents were not always able to supply even the basic materials. In spite of that, we have a dynamic group of kids that work hard, enjoy being in a safe, creative environment, and love coming to school.

About my class
