We are a full day Kindergarten class of 21 students. My classroom is a fully integrated classroom with learners of all abilities. My students are such hard workers and I'm so excited every day to see the new things they'll do and the new things they'll learn and teach me! My students are so excited about learning how to read. They have been practicing their reading with a program called the Daily Five. This year in my classroom we are incorporating a program called The Daily Five based on the book of the same name by Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. It is a structure that helps students develop the daily habits of reading, writing, and working independently. The program enforces and supports literacy independence.
