In a school where 74% of students have free/reduced lunch, I want my students to be able to reinforce skills while building independence. Using pre-selected links and apps on the iPad is just one of the many ways they will be able to do so. One of the most important focuses within my 1st grade classroom is preferential learning and how diversity is such a wonderful thing. Not every child learns the same as another. What works for one student may or may not work for the next. Every year I have a very diverse group of students (gender, social, emotional, academic, socio-economic, and ethnicity) . This year is no exception!
