I teach a 4th grade class. Many of my students are English language learners. Many come from low-income families. They are a diverse group, with a wide range of reading abilities. They have established a nice sense of community in the classroom. They enjoy working together in pairs and in cooperative groups. Technology excites them, but many do not have access to it at home. They are eager to learn and proud of what they have already accomplished.
