My first-graders come from low-income homes in an inner city. Our district provides breakfast and lunch to help prepare them for a day of learning. My students are excited to be at school and excited about learning. However, they do not always have the tools and materials needed for that learning. I am passionate about bridging the gap so all students have equal access to quality education.
