I have been teaching in New York City for the past 3 years. The majority of my students either live in public housing or in local shelters. They are all very intelligent, but because of their situations at home they often don't have the advantages to have new experiences as some other students would. Most of their parents are unemployed and live off of public assistance. However, they do not let their situation define who they are. They are all motivated and have dreams for the future. Several of my students want to be lawyers or doctors so that they could help communities like theirs. They are all passionate about become successful individuals.

About my class
