My classroom is quite diverse. I have a classroom of the same number of boys as girls, a boy that moved here from Germany this year and has a great connection to math because no matter where he was, numbers are the same. I also have a couple of students that are still learning their numbers and letters, where an activity and group learning will help them grow. I also have three students that are way above grade level and are always looking for a great challenge. The school they attend is a Title I school. This means we have a very poor community and most of the students are not cared for at home. I know I cannot exactly alter their home-life, but I can better their life at school. My students strive for opportunities to work with electronics, books, and hands-on materials.
