My students and their parents come from a variety of backgrounds. Some speak only Spanish, some only English, and some are practicing bilingual. Nearly all of my students come from lower income backgrounds, with almost 95% on free or reduced lunch. We are in a public school in CA, and we are a Spanish Immersion school. The goal of our schools is to have all kids bilingual by the time they complete 5th grade.
