Many of my kids live below the poverty level and most of them don't have access to opportunities to experience life outside of their own neighborhoods. They also don't have access to technology outside of the classroom. We are a public charter school whose mission is to close the achievement gap for our students. Our students have longer school days and a more strenuous workload, even at the kindergarten level. My students work hard every day to reach their goal of graduating from a four-year university in the year 2030.

About my class
