My students attend a Title 1 public school Pre-Kindergarten program. Students are eligible to attend based upon family income and/or having English as a second language. My classroom is designed around "active learning" where students interact with each other and appropriate learning materials. Our curriculum stresses literacy/language, math, science, social and physical development. Most days we have access to a small playground area that includes 2 swings and a small climbing structure. Even though the area is small the students always enjoy the opportunity for running, jumping, skipping and PLAYING!
