These read aloud books support our learning themes. Our first theme is welcoming students and their families to school. This collection of diverse read aloud books will guide instruction for our focus lessons and play based learning centers. The foundational texts are culturally responsive and will be used to explore content as well as to guide play in learning centers. The read aloud books that are being requested represent diverse cultures and abilities and allow our students to see themselves through the books. In this way we will create a welcoming experience for students and families in their first school experience.
