These materials will help engage my students during our reading intervention classes. Students in grades 3-5 that scored below grade level meet daily for intervention. Some students seem unmotivated and think that reading may be "boring". The materials will help engage the students in meaningful small groups by using hands-on materials, activities, and flexible seating to capture their attention during our classes. Students will be able to practice reading, creative writing, and word work in a bright, comfortable, print rich environment. Providing students with engaging activities and time to practice skills is encouraging and empowering.
