My first through third grade students have had a hard time learning to read. The books they enjoy are as different as they are. Some students love books about sports. Other students love books about animals. My reluctant readers want books that grab them and suck them in because they so interesting. Today one of my students was drawn to a book about making a chocolate cake. My students need to learn that books can be fun.
