The donations to this project will help to improve my students' academic skills in reading, writing, and math. My struggling readers are in need of fun and interesting text to read in the classroom. The Scholastic News classroom magazines, The Lakeshore Emergent Readers set, and Biographies will motivate my readers to read. These magazines and books with supporting illustrations will help my students build their reading skills. These books and magazines are engaging and fun to read. These are perfect for building vocabulary and boosting reading confidence in my self-contained classroom. During our independent reading time, the headphones (Sony - ZX Series On-Ear Headphones – Black) will allow students to independently use our RAZ-KIDS app to read leveled books. This will allow my students to independently practice active reading strategies. We need a color printer. We would like to get the Samsung - Xpress C430W Color Laser Printer. Students are more likely to read and recall handouts that are printed in color.
