I have had the pleasure of teaching in my district for the last twelve years. The first seven years I spent as a general education first grade teacher. The last five years I have been teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities. It has been an amazing challenge and I have learned so much about teaching students with special needs. Last year I had the extreme pleasure of teaching the most amazing group of third grade students. As always teaching keeps you on your toes. This year I have moved to a new school in my district. The campus community is amazing and now I have a group of spunky first graders to call mine for a year.
