The materials that I am requesting already have a home in my classroom. I have an area at the back of my room to put the LEGO wall. During STEAM class students will be able to utilize the LEGO wall to create their own designs, based on classroom experiences or by designing and implementing their own creations. Donations to this project will help my students experience a greater acquisition of collaborative learning, spatial reasoning, and engineering skills. As of lately, students have been at home more, not interacting with others as regularly. An opportunity such as this will allow these students to work with each other and use a hands-on approach to learning. Having students back on campus and being able to attend STEAM class has been amazing, they are so excited, as am I. This opportunity to use a LEGO wall will deepen their learning experience. It will also expose students to the concept of grit, and to persevere through trial and error.
