I have the wonderful opportunity of teaching Science to EVERY student in our school grades K-4. This is my first year in this position and I am loving every minute of it. I have found that the all of the students are so eager to come into class each day to see what new experiences await them in relation to Science. It is my job to make sure that students "catch" my love of Science by conducting experiments and making observations that connect to the many concepts involved under the realm of Science education. Our school is located in the very middle of what I like to call a concrete jungle. This hinders the students from experiencing nature as it pertains to Science. Many of the students who attend live in the apartments that surround our school. They have no yard space in which to explore and observe plants, animals and insects.
