The students at Hort Elementary inspire me everyday to be a better educator. At Hort we have approximately 645 students all receiving free lunches. Our attendance rate is just below the district average of 96% and we struggle with getting our chronically absent students to school. Our teachers work tirelessly to teach our diverse group of students with project based learning along with leveled reading groups to meet students at their instructional levels.
