Aloha. We are a Hawaiian-focus Charter School. Welcome to our fifth grade class of 17 students. Our school day includes Hawaiian studies, traditions, language, and dance along with the core curriculum of Elementary subjects. In other words, we are very busy! Our school is growing and our 'ohana (family) of students, teachers, and staff are excited to see this happen. As expected, however, a growing school needs help to give our students the best chance to succeed. We are fortunate to have wonderful weather, and our school overlooks the Pacific Ocean. In fact, some of our classes bring us to the beach to study our waters, plants and animals. We often see humpback whales breaching when we are on the playground during the winter months! Our students enjoy school and love to learn, but honestly, they would rather be surfing, swimming, paddling an outrigger canoe, or playing in the sand. You can imagine...when the school work is done, the beach is close by, and the ocean is calling. Mahalo
