The reading materials that I am requesting will be used during the students center and small group reading time. Students will use the listening center and retelling activities to help them develop listening comprehension and story retell. These areas are extremly important in building fluent readers. As preschool students are exposed to a variety of authentic reading experiences they build a love for reading. My job in the preschool classroom is to provide them with enriching reading activities that will draw them to the reading center when they are chosing what centers they would like to play in. These materials are building the skills they need in order to meet the preschool essential indicators from the state of New Mexico.

About my class
