My students are 7th and 8th graders who are eager to complete the hands-on projects in our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) class. As part of every project, students complete journal entries that include vocabulary, research, and career information. The career portion is extremely important because it shows them that they can choose their future. Some of my students have not traveled more than 60 miles from home. It is a public school with almost 75% of the students on free or reduced lunch.
